In early 2007, Boyd Martin relocated from New South Wales, Australia to Phillip Dutton's True Prospect Farm in West Grove, Pennsylvania.   He quickly made his mark in the US by finishing seventh overall on the US Eventing Association's Rider of the Year Leader board with a total of 306 points for 2007.  This is an all-time record for a rider debuting in the United States.  His 120 starts in competition in 2007 included 19 wins, 15 second place finishes and 13 third place finishes.

During the spring of 2009, Boyd became a US citizen and branched off with his wife Silva, a dressage competitor, trainer and clinician, to start their own business, Windurra LLC, leasing the top barn at True Prospect Farm and remaining in close partnership with Phillip Dutton.

In 2009, Boyd finished 3rd in the USEA Rider of the Year Leaderboard and made the cut for the  2010 Eventing High Performance Training "A" List with Neville Bardos.
